What is Agility?
Agility is a sport for dogs which involves speed, skill and will. Whether your dog participates for fun or competition, there is always a "rush". Agility is a competitive sport in which a handler directs his or her dog through obstacles while racing against the clock. The dogs learn to fly through hoops, speed through tunnels, traverse a see-saw, glide over A-Frames and cruise over jumps.
What Breed is Best Suited for Agility?
Agility is an "all dog sport." Any dog twith good physical health and energy is a good candidate for agility. Mixed breed and pure breeds of all sizes are welcome to compete in USDAA (United States Dog Agility Association) events.
What are the Benefits of Having a Dog Participate in Agility?
Agility promotes increased confidence, skill, endurance, muscle tone and a stronger bond with his or her's owner(s).
How Do the Trainers Teach My Dog to Go Through the Obstacles?
The Trainers at All For Doggies use positive reenforcement techniques to encourage your dog to explore new things and make sure it's ok fun. Having two trainers and limited class space allows individual time for each dog to master an obstacle.
Is Obedience Training Necessary Prior to Doing Agility?
No, agility is about fun, so obedience training is not necessary. However, spending time with your dog doing agility will build a nice bond with you and your dog.

 | Doggie Testimonials | |
 | | I just want to thank everyone there who watches over my buddy RYNO. Coming to daycare is the highlight of his week. He can't wait to get out of the car when we get there in the morning. This is amazing because he never gets out of the car without a 10 minute debate and a treat or five. Dropping him there is great for me as well because, I can relax knowing he is having a great time with the other dogs and not lying at home waiting for me to get home from work.
Thanks!
Scott Kolar
